51ltr Opaque Water Tank

The Wydale 51 Litre Opaque Universal Water Tank is an exceptionally low-profile fresh water storage tank designed for campervans, motorhomes, caravans, van conversions and other leisure vehicle applications.

With a height of only 120mm, this tank is particularly useful where installation height is restricted. Its long, flat design allows a useful 51 litre nominal water capacity to be accommodated beneath beds, seating, raised floors and other areas where a conventional taller water tank may not fit.

Manufactured by Wydale Plastics from durable polyethylene, the tank is suitable for the storage and transportation of potable water and a range of other liquids.

The natural opaque/translucent finish allows the approximate water level to be visually checked through the tank wall, which can be useful when filling, draining or checking your fresh water supply.

The tank measures approximately 1200mm long × 400mm wide × 120mm high, weighs approximately 8kg and incorporates a large 5" internal plain non-vented access lid.

Factory-Fitted 1/2" BSP Outlet

The Wydale 51 litre tank is supplied with 1 × factory-fitted 1/2" BSP threaded outlet positioned towards the lower section of the tank.

Wydale's engineering drawing specifically identifies this connection as a 1/2" BSP outlet, providing a ready-made threaded connection for your water system.

Universal Installation

This is a universal flat water tank and is not designed around one particular make or model of vehicle.

Its 1200 × 400 × 120mm dimensions make it particularly suitable for installations where there is plenty of length available but very little vertical space.

It can be installed in a wide range of campervans, motorhomes and van conversions, provided its dimensions and connection positions suit the intended installation.

Always measure the available installation space carefully before ordering.

Adding Additional Inlets, Outlets & Breathers

The tank has a factory-fitted 1/2" BSP outlet, but additional holes can be drilled where required for a water filler inlet, breather, additional outlet, drain, level sensor or other tank fitting.

When using a conventional tank fitting, remember that a nut and sealing washer normally need to be fitted from inside the tank. You must therefore make sure the proposed position can be reached through the access lid before drilling.

Alternatively, a Wydale KwiQ fitting can be used where appropriate. This allows an additional connection to be installed without needing to reach inside the tank to secure a separate nut and washer.
