The Whale Easi-Slide 240V Mains Electric Inlet provides a neat and secure external mains hook-up connection for motorhomes, caravans and campervans.
Designed to be installed into the exterior wall of the vehicle, the inlet allows the leisure vehicle to be connected to a campsite or external 230V/240V mains electricity supply using a standard 16A hook-up lead.
The inlet is rated at 16A and is designed to be hard-wired into the vehicle's electrical system, providing the incoming mains connection for the vehicle's power distribution and charging system.
Part of Whale's Easi-Slide exterior socket range, the SO3100C features the same compact flush-fitting design as Whale's water, gas and electrical connection points. It is designed for use with the compatible Easi-Slide 240V Power Icon lid, available separately in a choice of colours.
The sliding lid design provides a clean, modern appearance on the outside of the vehicle and avoids the large projecting hinged flap found on many traditional caravan mains inlet sockets.
The Whale SO3100C is an ideal choice for new campervan and motorhome conversions or as a replacement for an existing compatible Whale Easi-Slide mains inlet.

No. This is the inlet body/socket assembly only. The exterior Easi-Slide lid is sold separately. This is useful if your existing lid is still serviceable or if you want to choose a different lid colour.
Whale specifies the unit as 230V AC / 16A. It is also commonly referred to as a 240V caravan or motorhome mains inlet in the UK.
This is the mains inlet, used to connect the vehicle to an external campsite electrical hook-up. Do not confuse it with the Whale SO3000C mains outlet, which provides an external UK 3-pin socket for appliances.
Whale specifies IP55 protection when the correct lid is fitted and closed.
The inlet is intended to be hard-wired to the vehicle's power distribution system. Whale specifies 3-core cable rated at 300/500V, 16A minimum and 2.5mm² CSA. Because this involves mains electricity, installation should be undertaken by a suitably competent person.
