37ltr Black Wheel Arch Water Tank

The Wydale 37 Litre Black Wheel Arch Water Tank is a compact fresh water storage tank specifically designed to fit over the wheel arch of the Ford Transit Custom V710 (2023 onwards) and VW Transporter T7 (2025 onwards).

The tank can be installed on either the nearside or offside of these vehicles. Although designed around the wheel arch profile of the Transit Custom and Transporter T7, there is no reason it cannot be installed in other campervans, motorhomes and van conversions where its dimensions and wheel arch profile are suitable.

Manufactured by Wydale Plastics from WRAS approved polyethylene, the tank is suitable for storing potable fresh water. Its black construction also helps reduce the amount of light entering the tank.

With a nominal capacity of 37 litres, the tank measures approximately 800mm long × 200mm wide × 520mm high, making it a useful option where a larger wheel arch tank would take up too much valuable interior space. It incorporates a 5" internal unvented access lid.

Integrated Connections & Mounting Points

The Wydale 37 litre tank incorporates 3 × 1/2" BSP connection points. These connections are supplied closed and undrilled, allowing you to open and use the connections required for your particular water system installation.

Wydale's technical drawing identifies these as 1/2" BSP × 20mm nickel threaded inserts.

The tank also incorporates 7 × M8 × 15mm brass inserts, providing dedicated mounting points for securing the tank.

Optional Fitting & Plumbing Kit

An optional Wydale fitting kit is available for the 37 litre wheel arch tank and must be selected when ordering if required.

Adding Additional Inlets, Outlets & Breathers

In addition to the tank's existing connection points, additional holes can be drilled where required to accommodate your chosen water inlet, outlet, breather, drain, level sensor or other tank fittings.

When deciding where to drill, remember that conventional tank fittings normally use a nut and sealing washer on the inside of the tank. You must therefore make sure the chosen position can be reached through the tank's access lid so the internal nut and washer can be fitted and tightened.

Alternatively, a Wydale KwiQ fitting can be used where suitable. These fittings can be installed without needing to reach inside the tank to secure a separate internal nut and washer.
