The Scanstrut Ventura Anderson SB50 50A Socket provides a durable, weatherproof external high-current connection for motorhomes, campervans, caravans, overland vehicles and marine applications.
Designed primarily for connecting portable solar panels and other suitable DC power equipment, the socket uses a genuine red Anderson SB50 connection rated at up to 50A when installed with suitable 6AWG cable.
Part of the Scanstrut Ventura Series, the socket combines a compact, low-profile design with excellent protection for exterior installations. With the lid closed, the front of the socket is rated to IP68 and IP69K, providing protection against water, dust and high-pressure washdowns.
The housing incorporates a spring-loaded click-shut lid with a 90° holding position, built-in sealing gaskets and marine-grade 316 stainless steel components. UV-resistant materials provide additional durability for long-term exterior installation.
The Anderson connection is rated up to 600V DC, with maximum power delivery of 600W at 12V, 1200W at 24V and 2400W at 48V, subject to appropriate cable sizing and installation.
We also sell other Scanstrut Ventura Series sockets, allowing matching exterior connections to be installed for solar, 12V power, USB-C, water and other services.
Please note: Anderson SB50 terminal crimps are not included and must be selected to suit the cable size used.

Yes. Scanstrut specifically designed this Ventura socket as an Anderson 50A solar connection, providing a neat external connection between compatible portable solar equipment and the vehicle's electrical system.
No. SB50 terminal crimps are not included. Scanstrut lists compatible genuine Anderson crimps for 16mm², 10mm² and 4–6mm² cable, allowing the correct terminal to be selected for the installation.
It uses a genuine red Anderson SB50 connector. Scanstrut specifies compatibility with genuine red Anderson SB50 connectors.
The connector is rated at up to 50A when used with suitable 6AWG cable, making it suitable for higher-current DC applications.

The socket arrived quickly and postage was reasonable so service from Rebel Leisure was spot on.
The socket is very good quality and has a genuine Anderson connector in it. However there are no crimp terminals included. The socket is a little overpriced for what it is. £20-£24 would be a more reasonable cost.
The pricing from Rebel Leisure was the lowest I could find so it's not an issue with them. Maybe the manufacturer has set the retail price too high???
