Downloads & Guides
The SRNE CU2 Data Acquisition Control Unit is the central control hub of the SRNE smart RV electrical system, bringing together battery monitoring, solar charging, inverters, DC-DC chargers and onboard equipment into one integrated network.
Designed for campervans, motorhomes, caravans and off-grid installations, the CU2 allows compatible electrical devices to communicate with each other, providing real-time information and convenient control through the SRNE mobile app or an optional RMA4 or RMA7 touchscreen display.
With built-in WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity, programmable relay outputs and connections for water tank level and temperature sensors, the CU2 goes beyond conventional battery monitoring to provide a comprehensive vehicle management solution.
Key Features
• Centralised System Management – Connect and monitor compatible SRNE inverters, MPPT solar controllers, DC-DC chargers and battery monitoring equipment.
• Built-in WiFi & Bluetooth – View system information and control compatible equipment through the SRNE mobile app.
• RMA4 & RMA7 Display Compatibility – Connect an optional touchscreen display for convenient onboard monitoring.
• Battery Monitoring Integration – Works with the SRNE BS48500 battery monitor to display battery voltage, current, state of charge and energy consumption.
• Water Tank Level Monitoring – Supports compatible sensors for fresh water, waste water and other liquid storage tanks.
• Temperature Monitoring – Monitor temperatures in battery compartments, equipment enclosures and other locations.
• Programmable Relay Outputs – Six relay outputs enable control of compatible lighting, fans and other electrical circuits.
• Multiple Communication Interfaces – Supports TTL, RS232, RS485 and CAN communication protocols.
• Remote Firmware Updates – Supports over-the-air (OTA) updates.
• Wide DC Input Range – Operates from a 10–100V DC power supply.

Frequently Asked Questions
The CU2 acts as the central communication and control hub for a compatible SRNE electrical system. It gathers information from connected devices, including solar controllers, inverters, battery monitors and tank sensors, allowing them to be monitored through one interface.
The CU2 is the central controller used with the RMA7 in an integrated SRNE RV management system. It collects information from connected components and communicates that information to the display.
Yes. The CU2 includes built-in Bluetooth and WiFi connectivity, allowing compatible equipment to be monitored through the SRNE mobile application. Remote access over the internet requires a suitable WiFi connection and supported app functionality.
Yes. When connected to a compatible battery monitoring device, such as the SRNE BS48500, the CU2 can provide information including battery voltage, current flow, state of charge and energy consumption.
The CU2 itself is not a battery shunt, so a suitable monitoring device is required for accurate current and state-of-charge measurements.
Yes. The controller supports compatible liquid level sensors, allowing water tank information to be incorporated into the vehicle monitoring system. This can include fresh water and grey water tanks, depending on the sensors installed.
Yes. The CU2 features six programmable relay outputs that can be used to control compatible electrical circuits, including lighting and ventilation equipment.
The relays must be connected and configured correctly, with suitable additional switching equipment where the electrical load requires it.
Yes. The CU2 accepts a DC supply between 10V and 100V, making it suitable for use within both 12V and 24V electrical installations.
Compatibility of connected equipment must be checked separately.
The CU2 supports several industry-standard communication interfaces, including RS485 and CAN. However, having a compatible physical connection does not guarantee that third-party equipment will communicate correctly.
Always confirm device and communication protocol compatibility before installation.
