The Comet Pressure Equalizer Expansion Tank Accumulator is designed to improve the performance of your caravan, motorhome, campervan or boat water system by providing a smoother, more consistent water flow. Installed on the outlet side of your water pump, it reduces pressure fluctuations, minimises water hammer and helps eliminate pump pulsing.

By storing a small reserve of pressurised water, the accumulator allows your pump to run less frequently. This not only creates quieter operation but can also help extend the life of your water pump and pressure switches by reducing unnecessary cycling.

Suitable for use with most 12V pressure water pumps, including Comet, Shurflo, Whale, Reich and other compatible systems, the Comet Pressure Equalizer is an ideal upgrade for both new installations and replacement applications.

Frequently Asked Questions

An accumulator stores a small volume of pressurised water, helping to smooth out pressure fluctuations and reduce pump cycling for a quieter, more consistent water supply.

It is suitable for use with most 12V pressure pumps, including Comet, Shurflo, Whale, Reich and many other compatible water systems.

The accumulator should normally be fitted on the outlet side of the water pump, as close to the pump as practical for the best performance.

No. It will not increase the maximum pressure produced by your pump, but it will provide a smoother flow and reduce pressure fluctuations.

While not essential, an accumulator is highly recommended for pressure pump systems as it improves water flow, reduces pump noise and helps extend the life of the pump by reducing unnecessary cycling.
