90ltr VW Crafter/MAN TGE LWB/XLWB Underslung Water Tank 2017 Onwards

The Wydale 90 Litre VW Crafter / MAN TGE Underslung Water Tank is a vehicle-specific water storage tank designed for Long Wheelbase (LWB) and Extra Long Wheelbase (XLWB) Volkswagen Crafter and MAN TGE vans from 2017 onwards.

Designed specifically for underslung installation, the tank provides a substantial 90 litre nominal water capacity without taking up valuable storage space inside the campervan or motorhome.

Manufactured by Wydale Plastics, the tank has a long, narrow profile specifically shaped to make use of the available space beneath the Crafter/TGE platform. It is suitable for FWD, RWD and 4WD variants, with different vehicle-specific fitting kits available depending on drivetrain.

Vehicle Compatibility

Factory-Fitted Inlets, Outlets & Breathers

The tank incorporates multiple factory-prepared threaded plumbing connections:

• 1 × 1" BSP connection
• 2 × 3/4" BSP connections
• 4 × 1/4" BSP brass vents/breathers

Wydale's current product specification confirms the 1 × 1" BSP and 2 × 3/4" BSP connections, while the engineering drawing identifies 4 × 1/4" BSP brass vents.

This gives plenty of flexibility when configuring the tank as part of a campervan fresh or waste water system.

Dedicated Water Level Sensor Recess

The tank incorporates a recess specifically designed for the installation of a water level sender.

This allows a suitable level sensor to be positioned within the tank while helping to minimise the additional clearance required beneath the vehicle.

Optional Vehicle-Specific Fitting Kits

Dedicated Wydale complete fitting kits are available and must be selected separately if required.

The FWD kit includes three vehicle-specific brackets, M8 fixings, TEK screws and suitable 3/4" and 1" BSP plumbing fittings. The RWD/4WD version provides the corresponding brackets for those drivetrain configurations together with the required plumbing components.

Please note: The fitting kit is not included as standard and must be selected when ordering if required.

Adding Additional Inlets, Outlets & Fittings

Although the tank already incorporates multiple BSP connections and dedicated breathers, additional fittings can be installed if required for your particular water system.

When drilling for an additional inlet, outlet, drain, level sensor or other tank fitting, remember that a conventional tank fitting normally requires a nut and sealing washer on the inside of the tank. Make sure the proposed position can be reached internally before drilling.

Alternatively, a suitable Wydale KwiQ fitting can be used where appropriate. This allows an additional connection to be installed without needing to reach inside the tank to tighten a separate nut and washer.
