63ltr VW Crafter/MAN TGE MWB Underslung Water Tank 2017 Onwards

The Wydale 63 Litre VW Crafter / MAN TGE MWB Underslung Water Tank is a vehicle-specific water storage tank designed for Medium Wheelbase (MWB) Volkswagen Crafter and MAN TGE vans from 2017 onwards.

Designed specifically for underslung installation, the tank provides a useful 63 litre nominal water capacity without taking up valuable space inside the campervan. Its long, narrow shape makes efficient use of the available space beneath the vehicle.

The tank is suitable for FWD, RWD and 4WD variants, with different vehicle-specific fitting kits available depending on the drivetrain. It is not suitable for left-hand-drive (LHD) vehicles.

Manufactured by Wydale Plastics from polyethylene, the tank incorporates dedicated threaded mounting inserts, factory-fitted plumbing connections, brass breathers and a recessed position for a water level sensor.

Please note: Wydale states that this tank does not fit left-hand-drive vehicles.

Always check the available space beneath the vehicle before ordering, particularly if additional equipment such as diesel heaters, LPG tanks, steps or other underslung components have been installed.

Factory-Fitted Inlets, Outlets & Breathers

The tank incorporates factory-fitted plumbing connection points to simplify installation.

It is supplied with:

• 2 × 3/4" BSP female threaded connections
• 3 × 1/4" BSP brass vents/breathers
• Lower sump section for the inlet/outlet connections

Wydale's current product specification confirms 2 × 3/4" BSP outlets, while the technical drawing confirms the 3 × 1/4" BSP brass vents.

The sump helps position the water connections towards the lower part of the tank, helping maximise usable water draw-off.

Dedicated Water Level Sensor Recess

The tank incorporates a dedicated recessed position for a water level sender, allowing a suitable sensor to be installed without unnecessarily increasing the overall installation height.

This position is specifically identified on Wydale's technical drawing.

Optional Vehicle-Specific Fitting & Plumbing Kits

Different fitting kits are available depending on the vehicle drivetrain:

• FWD: USK90C
• RWD & 4WD: USK90CR4

The USK90C complete kit for FWD vehicles includes the vehicle-specific brackets, M8 fixings, TEK screws and the appropriate BSP plumbing fittings.

Please note: The fitting kit is not included as standard and must be selected when ordering if required.

Adding Additional Inlets, Outlets & Fittings

Although the tank already incorporates dedicated BSP connections and three brass breathers, additional connections can be installed if required for your particular water system.

When drilling for an additional inlet, outlet, drain or other tank fitting, remember that a conventional tank fitting normally requires a nut and sealing washer on the inside of the tank. Make sure the proposed position can be reached internally before drilling.

Alternatively, a suitable Wydale KwiQ fitting can be used. These allow an additional BSP connection to be installed without needing to reach inside the tank to secure a separate nut and washer. Wydale specifically recommends KwiQ fittings for creating additional BSP inlets or outlets on this tank.
