Frequently Asked Questions

The green retaining pin locks the water connector tails into the underside of a compatible Reich or Vector tap or shower mixer, helping to prevent the tails from pulling out of the fitting.

The pin secures the water connector tail or tails into the bottom of the tap or shower mixer.

If the tap, connector tail and retaining mechanism are otherwise undamaged, a missing retaining pin can normally be replaced separately without replacing the complete tap.

The pins can become lost or damaged when the water connector tails are removed during plumbing repairs, tap replacement or other maintenance work.
