31ltr Opaque Upright Water Tank

The Wydale 31 Litre Opaque Upright Water Tank is a compact fresh water storage tank designed for campervans, motorhomes, caravans, van conversions and other leisure vehicle applications.

Its upright design provides a useful 31 litre nominal capacity while using relatively little floor space. Measuring just 436mm long × 176mm wide × 460mm high, it is particularly suitable for installation inside cupboards, lockers, garages and other areas where a taller, narrow tank is preferable to a flat water tank.

Manufactured by Wydale Plastics from WRAS approved polyethylene, the tank is suitable for potable fresh water systems and has a nominal wall thickness of approximately 4.5mm.

The natural opaque finish allows the approximate water level to be visually checked through the tank wall, making it particularly useful when filling, draining or checking the onboard fresh water supply.

A large 5" internal plain access lid provides access to the inside of the tank for inspection, cleaning and installation of additional components where required.

Integrated 1/2" BSP Connections

The Wydale 31 litre upright tank incorporates 4 × moulded 1/2" BSP fittings, providing ready-made connection points for the main components of your water system.

The four connections provide:

• 1 × filler inlet
• 1 × vent / overflow
• 2 × alternative outlet positions

Having two outlet positions allows the installer to select the connection best suited to the layout of the particular water system.

Integrated Mounting Points

The tank incorporates 6 × M8 moulded mounting inserts, providing dedicated fixing points for securing the tank.

An optional Wydale fitting kit (CTK31F) is available separately for mounting the tank.

Universal Installation

This is a universal upright water tank and is not designed around one particular make or model of vehicle.

It can therefore be installed in a wide range of campervans, motorhomes and van conversions, provided the 436 × 176 × 460mm dimensions and connection positions are suitable for the intended installation.

Always check the available installation space and access to the plumbing connections before ordering.

Adding Additional Inlets, Outlets & Fittings

Although the tank already incorporates four 1/2" BSP connection points, additional holes can be drilled if your installation requires another inlet, outlet, drain, level sensor or other tank fitting.

When using a conventional tank fitting, remember that a nut and sealing washer normally need to be fitted from inside the tank. You must therefore make sure the proposed position can be reached internally before drilling.

Alternatively, a Wydale KwiQ fitting can be used where appropriate. These fittings allow an additional connection to be installed without needing to reach inside the tank to secure a separate nut and washer.
