The Wydale 24 Litre Opaque Wheel Arch Water Tank is a slimline fresh water storage tank designed and manufactured by Wydale Plastics for installation around the wheel arch in campervans, motorhomes, van conversions and pick-ups.
With a width of only 150mm, this compact wheel arch tank is particularly useful where interior space is limited. Its shape allows otherwise difficult-to-use space around the vehicle wheel arch to be utilised while still providing a useful 24 litre nominal water capacity.
Manufactured from tough rotationally moulded polyethylene, the tank is designed for long-term use in leisure vehicle water systems. The natural opaque finish allows the approximate water level inside the tank to be visually checked, which can be useful when filling, draining or inspecting your water system.
The tank measures approximately 750mm long × 150mm wide × 500mm high and incorporates a 4" internal plain access lid.
Integrated Connections & Mounting Points
The Wydale 24 litre tank is manufactured with 6 × M8 threaded inserts moulded into the tank, providing dedicated mounting points for installation.
It also incorporates a 1/2" BSP outlet, providing a ready-made connection point for your fresh water system.
Optional Fitting Kit
An optional Wydale WAKF24 fitting kit is available separately and can be selected when ordering if required.
The fitting kit consists of three steel angle mounting brackets, together with M8 stainless steel socket button head bolts and washers designed to utilise the tank's integrated mounting points.

Adding Additional Inlets, Outlets & Breathers
Additional holes can be drilled into the tank to accommodate your chosen water inlet, outlet, breather, drain, level sensor or other tank fittings.
When deciding where to drill, remember that conventional tank fittings normally use a nut and sealing washer on the inside of the tank. You must therefore make sure the chosen position can be reached through the tank's access lid so that the internal nut and washer can be fitted and tightened.
Alternatively, a Wydale KwiQ fitting can be used where suitable. These fittings can be installed without needing to reach inside the tank to secure a separate internal nut and washer.

For this tank, we recommend a 475mm water level sensor. With an overall tank height of 500mm, this provides a suitable sensing length while retaining clearance at the bottom. Always check the exact sensor mounting position and internal clearance before drilling.

The dimensions, capacity and connection arrangement are the same. The black version helps restrict light entering the tank, while the natural opaque version allows the approximate water level to be visually checked through the tank wall.
