180ltr VW Crafter/MAN TGE FWD LWB/XLWB Underslung Water Tank 2017 Onwards

The Wydale 180 Litre VW Crafter / MAN TGE Underslung Water Tank is a large-capacity, vehicle-specific water storage tank designed for Front Wheel Drive (FWD) Volkswagen Crafter and MAN TGE LWB and XLWB vans from 2017 onwards.

With a substantial 180 litre nominal capacity, this tank is particularly suited to larger campervan and motorhome conversions where increased onboard fresh or waste water storage is required. Its underslung design keeps the tank outside the living area, helping to preserve valuable internal storage space.

Manufactured by Wydale Plastics, the tank is specifically shaped to make efficient use of the available space beneath the Crafter/TGE chassis.

Important: This tank is designed for FWD vehicles only and should not be purchased for RWD or 4WD versions.

Always check the available space beneath the vehicle before ordering, particularly where additional equipment such as diesel heaters, LPG tanks, batteries, steps or other underslung accessories have already been installed.

Factory Connections & Breathers

The tank incorporates moulded connection points to simplify installation and provide flexibility when configuring the water system.

These include dedicated threaded connections for the inlet/outlet plumbing together with breather/vent positions.

The factory connections should be used wherever practical, although additional fittings can be installed if your particular conversion requires them.

Optional Vehicle-Specific Fitting Kit

An optional vehicle-specific steel fitting kit is available for mounting the tank securely beneath the VW Crafter or MAN TGE.

The fitting kit consists of the appropriate vehicle-specific steel mounting brackets and M8 socket head bolts required for installation.

Please note: The fitting kit is not supplied as standard and must be selected when ordering if required.

Adding Additional Inlets, Outlets & Fittings

Additional connections can be installed if your particular water system requires another filler inlet, outlet, drain, breather, overflow or water level sensor.

When drilling for any additional fitting, remember that a conventional tank fitting normally requires a nut and sealing washer on the inside of the tank. Before drilling, make sure you can physically reach the proposed position from inside the tank to tighten the nut and washer.

Where internal access is not possible, a suitable Wydale KwiQ fitting can be used. These allow an additional connection to be installed without needing to reach inside the tank to secure a separate nut and washer.
