The Thetford S260-CS Separation Toilet is a modern waterless toilet designed for motorhomes, campervans and caravans, offering a practical alternative to a conventional cassette toilet for those looking for greater independence when travelling or camping off-grid.
Instead of collecting liquid and solid waste together in a conventional cassette, the S260-CS separates urine and solid waste at the toilet bowl. Urine is directed into a removable 7.5 litre urine tank, while solid waste is collected separately in a 7 litre solids container.
As the toilet operates without flushing water, it helps conserve the vehicle's onboard fresh-water supply and removes the need for a conventional toilet flush system or chemical toilet additives.
The S260 range is based on Thetford's established C260 cassette toilet platform, providing a familiar, comfortable design with a swivelling toilet bowl. The ergonomically designed separation bowl directs liquid and solid waste into their respective containers, while a side-operated blade visually covers the solids container when required.
The S260-CS also features an electronic urine tank level indicator, allowing you to monitor when the liquid waste tank needs emptying. A specially designed leak-free connection between the bowl and urine tank helps minimise the risk of spills when removing the tank.
Both waste containers can be accessed through the vehicle's exterior service door, allowing them to be removed without carrying waste through the living area.
The S260-CS is the surface-mounted version of the S260 separation toilet. Unlike the S260-S, the CS model incorporates a taller rear console, making it suitable for installations where recessing the rear section of the toilet into the bathroom wall or furniture is not possible.
