The Thetford C403L RH Cassette Toilet is a comfortable bench-style cassette toilet designed for motorhomes, caravans and campervan conversions. Unlike the C402C, the C403L connects directly to the vehicle's central fresh water system, so there is no separate toilet flush-water tank to fill.

The toilet uses a 12V electric flush valve and relay to control the water supplied from the vehicle's onboard water system. This makes the C403L a practical choice for installations where the motorhome or caravan already has a suitable pressurised fresh-water supply.

The large 19.3 litre removable waste cassette incorporates wheels and a retractable handle, allowing it to be rolled to the disposal point rather than carried. An integrated rotating pour-out spout and vent help make emptying easier and more controlled.

The waste-holding tank also features an automatic pressure release vent and removable internal mechanism for easier cleaning and maintenance.

This is the right-hand version. The handing is determined while sitting on the toilet. If the waste cassette is located and removed from your right-hand side, you require the RH version.

Frequently Asked Questions

On the Thetford C403L, it refers to the side on which the waste cassette is located and removed when you are sitting on the toilet.

If the cassette access is on your right-hand side when seated, you require the RH (right-hand) version.

No. The C403L does not have an integrated flush-water tank.

Instead, it connects directly to the central fresh-water system of the motorhome, caravan or campervan.

Yes. The C403L uses a 12V electric valve and relay to control the flushing water supplied from the vehicle's onboard water system.

Thetford specifies a minimum water pressure of 0.5 bar and a minimum flow rate of 6 litres per minute for a satisfactory flush.

Yes. The C403L is specifically designed to connect to the vehicle's central water system.

The onboard pump and plumbing system must be capable of providing at least 0.5 bar pressure and 6 litres per minute at the toilet inlet.

The Thetford C403L has a 19.3 litre removable waste-holding cassette.

Yes. The cassette has built-in wheels and a retractable handle, allowing it to be rolled to the disposal point rather than carrying the full cassette.

Yes. The C403L features a three-level waste tank indicator, allowing you to monitor the level of the cassette.

The main difference is the flush-water supply.

The C403L connects directly to the motorhome or caravan's central fresh-water system and uses a 12V electric valve and relay to control the flush.

The C402C has its own integrated 15 litre flush-water tank and uses a 12V electric pump to draw water from that tank.

If your vehicle already has a suitable pressurised fresh-water system and you want the toilet connected directly to it, the C403L is the appropriate version.

No. Because the C403L takes its flushing water directly from the vehicle's central water system, there is no separate toilet flush tank to fill.
