The SEAFLO 0.75L Water Expansion Accumulator Tank is designed to improve the performance of pressurised water systems in caravans, motorhomes, campervans, boats and van conversions. Installed alongside a suitable water pump, this compact accumulator helps maintain consistent water pressure, reduce pump cycling and provide a smoother, quieter water supply.
Featuring an internal rubber diaphragm, the tank stores a small volume of pressurised water while using an air cushion to absorb pressure fluctuations within the plumbing system. This reduces the frequency at which the water pump switches on and off, helping to minimise noise, vibration and unnecessary wear on the pump.
The accumulator is factory pre-charged to 10 PSI (0.7 bar), with an adjustable air valve allowing the pressure to be matched to your water pump's operating requirements. Its compact design and flexible mounting options make it suitable for both new installations and upgrades to existing leisure vehicle water systems.

Installation Information
The accumulator should be installed on the outlet side of your water pump, within the pressurised section of the plumbing system. For optimum performance, SEAFLO recommends adjusting the tank's air pre-charge to approximately 3 PSI (0.2 bar) below the pump's cut-in pressure, measured with the water system depressurised.
For example, a pump with a 20 PSI cut-in pressure would require an accumulator pre-charge of approximately 17 PSI.
Please Note: This accumulator tank does not contain a water pump and cannot generate water pressure independently. It is designed to work alongside a suitable pressure-controlled water pump. Check the thread type and connection sizes before ordering, as 1/2" NPT and 1/2" BSP fittings are not directly interchangeable.

Frequently Asked Questions
The SEAFLO accumulator tank helps maintain consistent water pressure within a caravan, motorhome or campervan plumbing system. It uses an internal air cushion to absorb pressure fluctuations, reducing pump cycling and providing a smoother, quieter water flow from taps and showers.
The accumulator is suitable for many 12V pressure-controlled diaphragm water pumps, including compatible SEAFLO, Shurflo and other manufacturers' pumps. Compatibility depends on the pump's operating pressure, pressure-switch settings and plumbing connections. The accumulator itself requires no electrical supply.
The tank is supplied with a factory pre-charge of 10 PSI (0.7 bar). SEAFLO recommends adjusting this to approximately 3 PSI below your water pump's cut-in pressure. For example, if your pump switches on at 20 PSI, the accumulator should be pre-charged to approximately 17 PSI. Always adjust and check the air pressure with the water system depressurised.
An accumulator can significantly reduce frequent pump cycling caused by small changes in water demand or pressure. However, if your pump continues cycling when all taps are closed, this may indicate a leak, faulty non-return valve or pressure-switch problem that requires investigation.
The accumulator should be installed on the pressurised outlet side of your water pump, before the water supply reaches the taps and other outlets. Its compact design allows installation in cupboards, lockers and other suitable spaces, and the internal diaphragm permits mounting in different orientations.
The tank features 1/2" male NPT threaded inlet and outlet connections. These can be connected to suitable water pipework using compatible adaptors. It is important to note that NPT and BSP threads are different standards, so the correct fittings should be selected to ensure a watertight connection.
Yes. By reducing pressure fluctuations and pump pulsation, the accumulator can provide a more consistent water flow through a shower. This may also help maintain more stable hot water temperatures, particularly with water heaters that are sensitive to changes in flow rate.
The internal rubber diaphragm separates the air and water chambers, so routine internal maintenance is not normally required. However, the air pre-charge should be checked periodically, particularly if pump cycling increases or water flow becomes uneven. The pressure can be checked and adjusted using the standard automotive-style air valve.
